Edmonton Indie Pop Artist Robin Cisek Announces Release of New Album

Edmonton alt-pop artist Robin Cisek is excited to announce the release of her debut album Delicate Mindson June 18th. The lead single from the album is the dark electro-pop track 'Speak To Me', out today on all digital platforms. Watch the lyric video here.
Full of powerful vocals and catchy, dynamic melodies, ’Speak To Me’ is a song with an important message.
“I wrote 'Speak To Me' online with my producers during the COVID lockdown," says Robin. “The song was written to encourage people to talk about their mental health and it aims to break the stigma behind mental illness while allowing me to have lots of fun with my vocal range."
Robin’s inspiration comes from her own experiences and her Indigenous heritage (Métis), which takes form in music through her alternative beats and lyrics. Her previous singles received critical praise, in addition to being played on radio in Canada and internationally. Her 2019 single, 'Waiting on You' claimed the #1 spot on XRP radio countdown and the Indigenous Music countdown and remained for 24 weeks.
On her debut album Delicate Minds, Robin is pushing the boundaries by challenging the idea that pop songs can’t be evocative. Robin shows her dedication to creating music that has a profound meaning while being melodic, catchy and listenable. Through her new music she discusses the deep meanings and emotional aspects of mental health while infusing her lyrics and sound with hopefulness, and a positive outlook on the future. Her album is an ode to those dealing with mental illness and a celebration of their strength and resiliency. The 6-song album deals with issues around speaking about mental health, anxiety, addiction, perception of mental illness in society, gaslighting, and trauma.
